I am not speaking metaphorically here. I'm talking being on my bike and having visions of taking the Sawzall to our peanut butter jar and sawing the narrow top off so I can stick my face right into raw peanut butter and devour every last creamy chunky bit of it.
It's that time of year - the miles and hours are ramping up. Anyone else experiencing the hunger?
YES!! Funny you should mention peanut butter. I was just thinking as I finished up the last of my PB yesterday that I have going through a lot of it over the past 5 months. WAY more then normal!
ReplyDeleteOH my YES!!! After 13 miles today I just had to have a fish sandwich. I never eat those things, but running along I spotted the billboard and knew it was gonna happen. It was semi-healthy; it had tomato on it and it was whole wheat bread....
ReplyDeleteHey be careful with that saw! (you could ruin some of the PB.:-))
Tons of sales on "bars" lately have left them stacked up around here.. I think I'm finally going to be putting dents in the piles again.
ReplyDeleteOf course I might be switching to bloks this year..
Sawzall.. nice touch. :)

My mom always told me I'm not the handyman in the family. I had to look up what a "Sawzall" was..
ReplyDeleteI went to my TRI LBS the other day. This lady talked about going to nationals, yuda yuda, people getting there zipp 909's put on.. Cool gear all around.
I was drueling there..Held off buying anything thou...
Still reeling a little from the flu-the PB picture isn't quite working for me...but I do remember last season waking up in the middle of the night so hungry I couldn't sleep. I'd get up, grab a little snack and fall back asleep almost instantly-wierd. I really enjoyed your previous post about teaching-it fuels my fire a little more to jump into the ring.
ReplyDeleteI think I have an Iron Tapeworm.
ReplyDeleteI feel like that when I get home after a big swim....and eat everything in sight. I guess I haven't gone the mileage on foot or bike yet for the same hunger pangs after those workouts.
ReplyDeleteaddendum to previous comment...
ReplyDelete3 hours yesterday in the saddle.
2.5 hours today in the saddle and a 30 min run.

In training or not, I'm always hungry.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great mental picture.
ReplyDeleteI get in that mood for DQ Hamburgers (there's a DQ 10 miles from home on my favorite bike trail).
I had the Hunger today after a good swim. But then I came home and ate everything in my house!
ReplyDeleteBut I deserve it. And so do you!
